Greetings, I have been replacing all of the rear glass seals on my 2004 TJ and now that I'm done, find these brackets interfere with the new seals - and I cannot really determine what their purpose is supposed to be since the glass/tailgate door seem to now seal just fine without them.lindel. If you have a soft top, put it up and take the Jeep. When you arrive put the soft top down and take the bows off the brackets. That way you can get the soft top well out of the way of the hard top. Attach the hardtop and drive home, remove soft top from the inside of the Jeep at home when the weather's nicer.Not true. TJs and YJs are the same width. YJ and TJ tops are interchangeable just takes some modding. At least a TJ hard top will go right onto a YJ.
